During the day, stop by for specialty sandwiches, salads and homemade soups. All of our food is made fresh with quality ingredients. Enjoy a craft beer and wine in our cozy underground cafe.
After hours, join us for a great nightlife experience in the heart of downtown Riverside. Grab a beer, hit the dance floor or make your way to the billiards room.
Our cafe is located in the basement level of the Mission Galleria Antique Mall. Stop in and have a local craft beer and one of our specialty sandwiches after you hunt for unique treasures in our antique mall, or visit us at night and join the party at The Hideaway Cafe!

History

Established in 1992.
The Hideaway Cafe has been serving Riverside since 1992. Craig & Debbie purchased the original Sears building, transforming it into one of Riverside's gems. The Mission Galleria Antique Mall is now one of the largest antique malls in Riverside, preserving a precious memory in this historic city.
The Hideaway Cafe was originally called the Mission Galleria Cafe. We changed the name during our recent remodel and expansion, including the addition of a beer & wine bar. The Riverside community has since embraced this idea and turned this quaint cafe into a Riverside hot spot after dark.

Owner

A Riverside native, Debbie has a passion for great homestyle food. She and her husband are no strangers to the community. Debbie enjoys being able to serve the public at The Hideaway Cafe, which is a cafe by day, and a club by night. Debbie hopes to provide you such a positive experience you'll remember to return to The Hideaway Cafe when you're in need of a great lunch and a great time.

  Fried appetizers and free comedy show on Monday night. Some are funnier than others, and some .... We'll, it's good that they enjoy it. Kind of a nice cozy spot. Good service. Not super fast, but friendly. Oh and the MC has tons of energy. Does a pretty good job.

  Hit and miss with this place. Drinks are usually reasonably priced but the crowd is either full and fun or the place is empty and quiet. I still swing by after work with staff for happy hour and have a good time...
